CINCINNATI – Kroger Health, Kroger Co.'s healthcare arm, has launched a new initiative to help customers achieve their wellness goals. Starting now, Kroger Plus loyalty members will have access to OptUP Nutrition Coaching, a free personalized service designed to provide tailored nutrition advice and support.

The OptUP Nutrition Coaching program is an extension of Kroger Health's existing OptUP platform. This platform helps customers make healthier food choices by scoring products based on their nutritional value. With the new coaching feature, Kroger Plus members can connect with registered dietitians and nutrition experts to receive one-on-one guidance, meal planning tips, and actionable strategies to improve their overall health.

Key features of OptUP nutrition coaching:

  • Personalized plans: Customers can work with nutrition experts to create customized plans that align with their dietary preferences, health conditions, and wellness goals.
  • Ongoing support: Regular check-ins and progress tracking to help customers stay motivated and on track.
  • Integration with OptUP app: Seamless access to nutrition scores and healthier product recommendations while shopping in-store or online.

"At Kroger Health, we believe that good health starts with good nutrition," said Colleen Lindholz, President of Kroger Health. "By offering free nutrition coaching to our loyal Kroger Plus members, we're empowering our customers to make informed choices and take control of their health journey."

The initiative is part of Kroger Health's broader mission to make healthcare more accessible and affordable. With rising interest in nutrition and wellness, the program aims to bridge the gap between grocery shopping and healthy living.

Kroger Plus members can sign up for the free service through the OptUP app or website. Once registered, they can schedule virtual consultations with nutrition experts and start their journey toward better health.
