CINCINNATI – The Kroger Co. announced that six wines from its exclusive portfolio received scores of 91 points or higher from two of the wine world's most respected critics, Wine Enthusiast and James Suckling.
The scores span three Kroger-exclusive labels and three price tiers, with the highest-rated bottle earning 93 points from James Suckling and the most affordable earning 92 points and a Best Buy designation from Wine Enthusiast, at just $7.99 a bottle.
"These scores are a reminder that great wine does not have to come with a big price tag," said Curtis Mann, Master of Wine and vice president of adult beverage at Kroger. "We are obsessive about how we invest in sourcing and quality across our wine portfolio. Seeing that work validated by well-respected critics across multiple varietals and price points tells us we're getting it right."
