FARGO, N.D. — Midwest convenience store favorite Kwik Trip is expanding again, announcing its first North Dakota location in Fargo, set to open November 20, 2025. Ahead of that milestone, stores will debut in Moorhead, Minnesota, beginning October 9, giving Fargo-area residents an early taste of the brand’s hot food, fresh coffee, and famously clean restrooms.
The Fargo store will operate under the Kwik Star name, while the Moorhead locations will carry the Kwik Trip banner. Both names represent the same family-owned company, offering identical services and standards.
The expansion into North Dakota follows Kwik Trip’s move into South Dakota in 2023, marking another step in the chain’s steady growth. Known for its fresh food program and strong customer loyalty, the company now operates more than 900 stores across the Midwest.
“Whether you see Kwik Trip or Kwik Star on the sign, you can expect the same delicious food, great coffee, and exceptional service,” the company said in its announcement.
