Lisa Roath

Lisa Roath is now the executive vice president and chief operating officer of Target Corp. and a member of its leadership team.

She is responsible for the retailer’s nearly 2,000 stores; its global supply chain network; fulfillment services including same-day delivery with Shipt; enterprise services; and properties.

In her new role, she focuses on expanding Target’s style and design emphasis across the entire operation, aiming to improve speed, efficiency and execution to elevate the shopping ­experience.

“I’m stepping into this role at a pivotal moment for Target. Operations is where strategy becomes real — especially when conditions are changing and the margin for error is small. This work demands clarity, speed and decisiveness. My focus is on simplifying what’s complex, making hard choices and executing relentlessly so our team members can serve our guests better every day, create an elevated guest experience and position Target to perform now and win for the future,” she said.

Roath joined Target in 2006 and has held a variety of leadership roles within the company. Most recently, she served as chief merchandising officer of food, beauty and essentials, with responsibility for buying across the company’s frequency categories and an end-to-end food business that included supply chain, store operations and product development. Before that, she served as chief marketing officer, where her team used a combination of data, insights and the magic of the Target brand to deepen guest relationships.
