NICHOLAS COUNTY, W.Va. — Little General Stores has expanded its presence in central West Virginia by acquiring five U-SAVE convenience stores in Nicholas County.
The newly acquired locations are in Mt. Nebo, Summersville, Craigsville, Canvas, and Richwood. Little General took over operations at the Mt. Nebo and Summersville sites on December 1, followed by Craigsville, Canvas, and Richwood on December 2.
The company stated that the expansion demonstrates its ongoing dedication to offering accessible, dependable services throughout the Mountain State. The new stores will maintain the brand’s familiar combination of clean, well-stocked aisles, friendly customer service, and broader food and fuel selections.
“We are thrilled to welcome these five U-SAVE locations into the Little General family,” said Greg Darby, president of Little General Stores. “Our expansion in Nicholas County allows us to serve even more West Virginians with the convenience, quality and care they deserve. Little General has always been committed to growing in ways that strengthen communities, and these new stores will help us continue to deliver the essential services people rely on every day.”
The acquisition comes amid Little General’s continued support of local causes. In September, the retailer raised $75,000 for West Virginia University Medicine Children’s Hospital through its Kick Off for Kids campaign. To date, the company has donated $425,000 to support pediatric care for families across the region.
