GLENDALE, Calif. – Local Express, a SaaS platform focused on unified, omnichannel e-commerce for grocery and food retailers, has appointed Ryan Webb as vice president of marketing, reporting to CEO Bagrat Safarian, effective immediately.

Webb brings more than 15 years of experience in growth and product marketing for SaaS companies, including leadership roles guiding teams through multiple IPOs and building scalable go-to-market strategies in complex software categories. At Local Express, he will help refine the company’s positioning in grocery e-commerce and elevate its Native AI unified commerce platform for independent and regional retailers.
“Ryan understands how to turn a sophisticated platform into clear, compelling stories that drive enterprise adoption,” Safarian said.
Webb will focus on helping retailers better understand the value of owning customer data and relationships while competing with marketplace-driven models.
“Local Express is scaling quickly as more grocery retailers seek true end-to-end digital platforms, not just online ordering tools,” Safarian added. “Ryan’s experience and ability to simplify complex technology will help accelerate our next phase of growth.”
In his role, Webb will lead brand and product marketing, demand generation and go-to-market strategy as the company advances its B2B enterprise approach. He will also work closely with sales, product and customer success teams to strengthen pipeline development, drive revenue growth and support expansion into new markets and verticals.
His responsibilities include translating the company’s AI capabilities into clear value propositions for grocery and specialty food retailers, and using data-driven marketing strategies to demonstrate how unified commerce can improve profitability, customer loyalty and operational efficiency.
“I am excited to join Local Express and return to the retail technology and e-commerce space,” Webb said. “The company has built a unified AI-first platform that is redefining the digital landscape for grocery retailers, and my focus will be on clearly communicating that value so more retailers can succeed in a technology-driven market.”
Webb added that he looks forward to building a marketing engine centered on strong positioning, experimentation and customer storytelling to support the company’s continued growth.
