Throughout the milestone year, the grocer honored its heritage while continuing to serve customers and communities with care and dedication.
In 2025, SEG proudly upheld its rich legacy as a trusted community partner by donating more than $2.8 million to support causes that matter most to its neighbors, including hunger relief, disaster recovery and more. The grocer also earned 69 national industry awards throughout the year, highlighting its commitment to delivering excellence. As the neighborhood grocer carries this momentum forward with a strategic focus on Florida and southern Georgia, SEG is energized by a year of remarkable achievement and poised to bring even more value and innovation to its communities.

Following the grocer’s announcement of its exciting new era as The Winn-Dixie Company, beginning in early 2026, SEG unveiled a newly remodeled store in St. Cloud in November. The store signals the grocer’s dedication to reinvesting in its local stores and continuing to provide quality products, expanded offerings and thoughtful upgrades to its valued neighbors. Additionally, SEG celebrated a major milestone with the grand opening of its new Williston store, marking the grocer’s first new Florida location since announcing its statewide transformation. Built out and opened in just 45 days, the new store highlights the grocer’s steadfast commitment to offering customers a fresh new shopping experience built on quality, value and care.
As the iconic Winn-Dixie brand celebrated its 100th anniversary this year, the grocer demonstrated that a century of excellence is just the beginning. SEG earned recognition throughout the year for its superior products, winning value and outstanding service. SEG’s commitment to serving customers is reflected in its line of Own Brand products, which offers customers an average savings of more than 20% compared to national brands across nearly 8,000 items. The portfolio earned 49 industry awards for providing high-quality, innovative products while helping customers save on every aisle. This included top marks from respected industry authorities such as American Pie Council, Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA), Progressive Grocer, Store Brands, USA Wine, Beer & Spirits and World Dairy Expo.
The company was also named one of America's Best Stores by USA Today and one of the Most Trustworthy Companies in America by Newsweek. Additionally, the grocer’s Rewards program delivers points for money off groceries, exclusive digital coupons and weekly deals, special offers and unique perks such as a free birthday gift and percent-back rewards. In 2025, the award-winning program was included on Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Loyalty Programs for the fifth consecutive year, as well as being named by USA Today as one of America's Best Loyalty & Rewards Programs.

SEG remains steadfast in its commitment to feed and enrich the communities it serves while improving lives through meaningful, action-driven support. In 2025, the grocer delivered more than $2.8 million in charitable giving to trusted community partners across its footprint. This included nearly $700,000 in monetary and product donations to long-standing partner Feeding America® and local hunger relief organizations, helping provide vital meals to neighbors experiencing hunger.
Customers further amplified this impact by purchasing the grocer’s holiday donation bags, providing nearly $200,000 in additional product donations to local food pantries across SEG’s communities. SEG also brought nourishment directly into communities by participating in 25 mobile food pantry events throughout the year, offering hands-on support in one of the most food-insecure regions in the country. Beyond hunger relief, SEG invested $250,000 in emergency preparedness and disaster response through the American Red Cross, $300,000 to Folds of Honor to support educational scholarships for the families of fallen and disabled service members and $130,000 to the American Heart Association to advance lifesaving research and prevention efforts.
The grocer also supported a wide variety of community initiatives in 2025, including a donation of $100,000 to local Boys & Girls Clubs to alleviate hunger during the summer months and a donation of $107,750 to support pediatric care facilities in addition to contributing to the American Cancer Society, Toys for Tots, The Tom Coughlin Jay Fund, local schools and animal shelters, environmental initiatives and much more. During November’s Gratitude Month, SEG empowered its store teams to give back directly to their communities by providing each store with a $500 credit to donate to a local nonprofit organization of their choice. Additionally, SEG’s Romay Davis Belonging, Inclusion and Diversity Grant program awarded $400,000 to 40 nonprofit organizations to help address racial disparities in education, health care and food insecurity.
In recognition of its charitable giving efforts, the grocer was included on Forbes’ list of Best Brands for Social Impact in April and was honored with a FMI Gold Plate Award in November and a Progressive Grocer Impact Award in December.
