HOUSTON — As health and wellness leader of Kroger Co.’s Houston division, Marla Fielder leads pharmacy operations for 105 locations in Texas and Louisiana. She oversees a team of 12 direct reports and an organization of approximately 1,300 associates, including pharmacy managers, pharmacy techs and staff pharmacists.
Fielder and her team create strategies to consistently meet or exceed performance metrics and benchmarks and work to ensure that the division complies with all company, state and federal guidelines.
Fielder also engages with division store leadership to ensure alignment of Kroger Health strategies within the stores, and she collaborates with the Kroger Health leadership to implement enterprise-wide initiatives throughout her division.
She is credited with fostering collaborative relationships with business and community leaders. Fielder is hailed as a motivator who embodies a servant leadership approach by empowering her team with the autonomy to make decisions, fostering their professional growth and development.
