MARTIN’S finishes major remodel at Charles Town Store

 CARLISLE, Pa. – On Friday, Sept. 4, The GIANT Company, known locally as GIANT and MARTIN’S, will celebrate the grand reopening of its Charles Town store at 190 Flowing Springs Road, following several months of major renovations, with festivities and product sampling for customers. 

“For 30 years and counting, MARTIN’S has served the Charles Town community, delivering the grocery solutions and products our customers expect,” said Gregory Funkhouser, Charles Town MARTIN’S store manager. “During this remodel, every department throughout the store was touched in some way to allow us to demonstrate our commitment to value and freshness.”

The store remained open during the remodel and updates included:

• The store’s signature fresh departments – produce, bakery, meat and seafood, and floral – in addition to the center store aisles have all been updated with improved efficiencies for shoppers and enhanced assortment of products.
• For today’s busy customers, the deli and prepared foods department has undergone a complete overhaul and now offers more hot and prepared foods and Grab ‘n Go items. A brand-new salad bar was also added to the produce department.
• The store’s beer and wine area has expanded its refrigeration and received updates to the aisle's overall flow.
• The Charles Town store pharmacy also underwent a full redesign and replacement, with the addition of a consultation room for administering vaccines in a more private setting.
• MARTIN’S signature Wall of Values has also been reimagined, offering one-stop shopping for key sale items from the weekly circular.

 As part of the grand re-opening festivities on Sept. 4, Charles Town customers can enjoy a gift card raffle, giveaways and free cake. A variety of product samplings will take place throughout the store with vendor partners including Boar’s Head, Tuscan Boule and Hissho Sushi.

 The Charles Town MARTIN’S, which has served the local community since 1996, is open daily from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and employs approximately 175 team members.
