CARLISLE, Pa. — The GIANT Company will celebrate the grand re-opening of its MARTIN'S store in Stephens City, Virginia, on August 7, capping a months-long renovation timed to the location's 20th year serving the community.
The store, at 240 Elizabeth Drive, stayed open throughout the remodel. Updates touched nearly every department: produce, bakery, meat and seafood sections were refreshed with expanded assortments and improved shopper flow, alongside similar upgrades to center-store aisles. The deli and prepared foods section saw the most significant overhaul, adding more hot and prepared options along with grab-and-go items for time-pressed shoppers. The beer and wine area gained expanded refrigeration and a reworked layout, while the in-store pharmacy was fully redesigned and now includes a private consultation room for administering vaccines. The store's "Wall of Values" — a curated display of weekly circular deals — was also reimagined to consolidate sale items in one spot.
"Marking our 20th anniversary in Stephens City this year, it was time for improvements across the store to enable us to better serve the changing needs of our customers," said Wade Carmichael, the store's manager. "With the remodel, we are able to better focus on value and freshness across all store departments — something the Stephens City community has come to expect from MARTIN'S."
The August 7 celebration will include a gift card raffle, giveaways and free cake, along with product sampling throughout the fresh departments from vendors including Boar's Head, Blue Ridge Kombucha, Slice/Suja fruit soda, Rastelli Burgers, Hissho, Barrel Oak wine and Route 11 chips. Center-store aisles will feature national brand sampling with appearances from Chester Cheetah and Osito the Bimbo Bakeries Bear, and kids can decorate cookies near the bakery.
The Stephens City MARTIN'S has served the area since 2006, employs about 150 people, and is open daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
