GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Meijer now accepts evermore over-the-counter spend cards, giving eligible Medicare customers another way to use supplemental health plan benefits for approved health and wellness purchases.
The direct integration with evermore allows participating Medicare plan members to use their cards at Meijer for eligible OTC products, healthy foods, and other items covered under their specific plan benefits.
“At Meijer, we are committed to helping customers take care of their health in convenient, affordable, and accessible ways,” said Jackie Morse, group vice president of pharmacy and health at Meijer. “By accepting evermore OTC spend cards, we’re giving eligible customers another simple way to use the benefits available through their health plans while shopping for the everyday essentials, healthy foods, and wellness products they need.”
The addition comes as Medicare Advantage plans continue to offer supplemental benefits that can be used for approved products that support members’ health and well-being.
“Meijer has spent more than 90 years earning a place in Midwest households,” said Jared Childs, vice president of growth at evermore. “They have become a beloved destination where families do their shopping — food, pharmacy, everyday essentials, all in one stop, and by expanding evermore’s card acceptance to Meijer, we’re opening up access across Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, and Wisconsin, core markets for the people we serve.”
Customers should review their health plan materials or contact their plan provider for information on card eligibility, covered products, available balances, and benefit timing.
