GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.—Meijer has announced the recipients of its 2024 Legacy Awards, the company’s most prestigious recognition for team members who exemplify leadership, innovation, and commitment to serving others. The awards include the Fred Meijer Award, named after the company’s founder, and the Earl Holton President's Award, honoring the values of the retailer's former longtime president.
This year’s Fred Meijer Award was presented to Regional Vice President Maureen Mitchell. With 15 years of service at Meijer, Mitchell has been recognized for her leadership, mentorship, and community involvement. Known for her ability to connect with people on a personal level, she has helped numerous colleagues advance their careers, driven key growth initiatives, and made a significant impact on the retail industry. Her achievements include recognition as one of the Top Women in Grocery.

"The Legacy Awards honor the leadership, innovation, and service of our team members who work hard every day to ensure our customers and communities have the best experience possible."
The Earl Holton President's Award was presented to five team members for their contributions to leadership, excellence, and innovation. The 2024 honorees are:
- Blaine Bishop, Associate ITS Manager
- Candy Tam, Logistics Manager
- Ethan Thomas, Store Director
- Cassie Walker, Supply Chain Pharmacy Tech
- Monica Wyant, Produce Business Manager
