GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — In a bid to bring convenience to more customers, Meijer is expanding its home delivery service area, tripling its reach from a 20-minute radius to 60 minutes. The expansion will extend the service to nearly four million additional households, including those in previously underserved rural and urban areas. Meijer said deliveries will be available in as little as three hours.

The retailer said the move came in response to customer demand.

“We heard from many customers that were interested in using home delivery to make their grocery shopping more convenient but couldn't because they were outside of the delivery range,” said Emily Henao, Meijer's vice president of digital experience.
