NEW YORK — Michaels of Brooklyn has expanded its premium sauce lineup to include two new varieties, Caramelized Onion Alfredo and Basil Alfredo.
The new sauces are made with real cream, butter, eggs, Parmesan, and Romano cheese. The Basil Alfredo uses fresh basil rather than powders or dried substitutes, while the Caramelized Onion Alfredo features onions that are slowly caramelized before being blended into the sauce.
“We’ve always believed that exceptional flavor starts with exceptional ingredients and these new Alfredo varieties meet our high standards,” said Michael Cacace, chef and owner. “Our new Caramelized Onion Alfredo and Basil Alfredo sauces are made with real cream and carefully selected, high-quality ingredients to deliver the same rich, restaurant-inspired taste our guests have come to expect at our restaurant.”
Both varieties carry a suggested retail price of $9.99. The sauces launched on Amazon, with additional distribution at The Fresh Market and Sprouts Farmers Market planned for August and September.
Family-owned and operated since 1964, Michael’s of Brooklyn is a third-generation Italian restaurant in Brooklyn, N.Y. Its retail sauces are prepared and packaged in the restaurant’s Brooklyn kitchen using the same family recipes served there.
Michaels of Brooklyn sauces are sold in more than 20,000 stores nationwide, including Target, Walmart, Amazon, Whole Foods, Kroger, Publix, Albertsons and The Fresh Market.
