NEW YORK — Michelle Peluso will be stepping down as chief customer and experience officer at CVS to become CEO of Revlon.

"It’s a dream job to lead such an accomplished team around the world to ensure the truly beloved brands of Revlon, Elizabeth Arden and the broader portfolio shine for the next generation of beauty shoppers," Peluso wrote on LinkedIn. "And I can’t wait to roll up my sleeves and get started right here in my hometown, New York City."

Peluso expressed "heartfelt thanks" to CVS president and CEO Karen Lynch, the company's customer success and growth team, and all of TeamCVS.

"I came here as my brother was battling cancer, all of a sudden, and far too well, understanding just how much needed to improve to make healthcare work for all," she wrote. "Partnering with this team – from rolling out vaccines to leading digital and then our front store, consumer-centricity, new formats, marketing, HEReForHer, and more — has been a privilege each and every day.

"Thank you TeamCVS, for allowing me to ride alongside you on the journey and even more, for all you do every day to serve consumers and members in every community across this extraordinary country. I will always proudly wear my CVS ❤️ on my sleeve."

Peluso was named CVS' chief customer officer in 2021, with responsibility for transforming the consumer experience and accelerating CVS' digital strategy. She was given direct oversight of marketing and brand strategy, digital transformation and the end-to-end consumer experience.

Before joining CVS, she was senior vice president of digital sales and chief marketing officer for IBM, overseeing marketing and brand strategy and execution, digital sales, and the commercial business, with responsibility for over $5 billion in revenue globally. She was also responsible for the company's client experience, establishing and leading a significant increase in Net Promotor Score across IBM during her tenure, with an emphasis on accelerating IBM's digital capabilities.

Peluso previously served as Chief Consumer Marketing and Internet Officer for Citigroup, leading the bank's award-winning digital transformation, and as CEO for two successful online platforms: Gilt Groupe and travelocity.com. She was also a White House Fellow and Senior Advisor to Secretary of Labor Alexis Herman. She has long been a noted and passionate advocate for women, diversity, and inclusion.
