ARLINGTON, Va. – The National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) is kicking off the New Year with a renewed focus on the vital solutions that America’s pharmacies provide to support the health and well-being of communities nationwide.

As part of NACDS’ ongoing Nourish My Health public education campaign — a key component of the Association’s broader Health and Wellness Innovation Initiative — NACDS is highlighting its member pharmacies and their dedication to delivering comprehensive health and wellness solutions for individuals at every stage of their health journey.

The latest social media campaign, Health Starts Here in 2025 underscores the critical role of pharmacies and pharmacists in offering personalized and preventive care to the public.

Over 20 NACDS member pharmacy companies are actively participating in Nourish My Health at select locations. These efforts include hosting wellness events, immunization clinics, and other awareness initiatives.

“We are proud to recognize the role that pharmacy plays in building healthy communities,” said NACDS President and CEO Steven C. Anderson. “As one-stop community healthcare destinations, pharmacies are uniquely positioned to provide holistic care to people of all ages, empowering them to prioritize their health and wellbeing.”

Nourish My Health marked its first anniversary in September 2024. As NACDS enters 2025, the initiative continues to raise awareness about the critical connection between nutrition and the prevention and management of chronic diseases.

Launched in 2023, Nourish My Health collaborates with national health organizations to improve nutrition and reduce disease risks. The program encourages health screenings, provides healthy food guides and nutrition resources, and conducts surveys to address nutrition security and access solutions.

In November, NACDS celebrated Diabetes Month, emphasizing the role of pharmacies in diabetes prevention and management. Additionally, NACDS promoted digital content for National Immunization Awareness Month, Men’s Health Month, Women’s Health Month, and American Heart Month.
