New flagship Whole Foods Market in Los Angeles to open next month

Retailer’s newest location to feature a taproom, charcuterie venue, coffee and juice bar, and more than 1,900 products from 400+ California-based suppliers

LOS ANGELES — Whole Foods Market will open a new 63,082-square-foot flagship store at the Bloom on Third shopping center, located at 355 S. Ogden Drive in Los Angeles, on Nov. 11, 2026. The store will debut at 9 a.m., with regular hours of 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Situated at the intersection of Third Street and Fairfax Avenue, the new location replaces the original Fairfax store, which has served the Los Angeles community since 2002. The flagship store also features a dedicated parking structure with more than 600 spaces.

Designed to elevate the shopping experience, the store includes new food and beverage venues, an expanded specialty department, and a broad assortment of products, including more than 1,900 locally sourced items from California-based suppliers. The selection was developed with the support of Patrick Wyman, Whole Foods Market's Forager for Local & Emerging Brands. Shoppers will also find a curated assortment of products geared toward gifting and holiday entertaining.

Opening morning, customers will enjoy coffee from Canyon Coffeeopens in a new tab and samples from Fishwife Tinned Seafood Coopens in a new tab and Urban Remedyopens in a new tab. The first 300 customers in line will receive a limited-edition 3rd & Fairfax tote bag, with the first 100 receiving a special mini version, and a Secret Saver coupon featuring savings up to $100 off.

In celebration of the opening, Whole Foods Market is providing a food donation to Food Cycle LAopens in a new tab, which makes regular surplus food pickups from local Whole Foods Market stores to help prevent food waste and serve the surrounding community. The nonprofit previously received a refrigerated van through Whole Foods Market’s Nourishing Our Neighborhoods program, which aims to enhance the ability of local food rescue organizations to transport surplus food to areas facing the greatest need. Whole Foods Market will also present supplier Reprise Healthopens in a new tab with a low-interest loan through the Whole Foods Market Lending Program, to support their national expansion into approximately 135 Whole Foods Market locations. Through the program, Whole Foods Market lends money to small-scale, local, or emerging producers to help them grow their businesses. Since 2006, the retailer has provided loans to more than 300 suppliers, representing roughly $42 million in capital for recipients.
Additionally on opening day, U.S. Veterans can receive one of Whole Foods Market’s signature brown butter chocolate chip cookies by visiting the customer service counter.
All food at Whole Foods Market must meet the company’s rigorous quality standardsopens in a new tab, which prohibit hydrogenated fats, high-fructose corn syrup, and more than 300 flavors, colors, sweeteners, and other ingredients commonly found in food. In addition, all beauty and body care products must meet the company’s body care standards, which ban more than 240 commonly used ingredients, including phthalates, parabens, and microbeads.
