LAVALTRIE, Canada — Following weeks of construction, Super C Lavaltrie officially welcomed customers this week to its new location. The nearly $10 million project has transformed the store into a modern facility almost three times larger than its former site. The new store employs about 100 people, including most members of the previous Lavaltrie team and approximately 40 newly hired employees. The grand opening was attended by local dignitaries and members of the management team.
The expanded store is designed to better serve the community with a broader selection of fresh and grocery products tailored to local preferences, all at the competitive prices that define the Super C brand. New features include a full-service fresh meat counter staffed by in-store butchers, an Aki Sushi counter where sushi is prepared daily on site, and an enhanced assortment of organic and natural products, craft beers, and Première Moisson offerings, another brand within the METRO family.

“This new investment allows us to further strengthen our position as Quebec’s leading discount retailer. We are proud to say that we offer the best quality-price ratio,” said Anna Kolakowski, Senior Vice President, Super C. “Every day, our teams are committed to providing consumers with quality products at highly competitive prices and a shopping experience that is both simple and efficient. We continue to focus on our three guarantees — Always Fresh, Always in Stock, and Always Great Prices.”
To celebrate this major investment in the community, the store also presented a $5,000 cheque to Moisson Lanaudière, a long-time partner, notably through the One More Bite food recovery program.
Super C is part of the Moi rewards program, which enables customers of Super C, Metro, Jean Coutu, Brunet and Première Moisson to save even more by accumulating points in nearly 900 stores and redeeming them instantly at the checkout to save more on their everyday essentials.
