NEW YORK – The Honest Company’s founder and chief creative officer Jessica Alba and CEO Nick Vlahos have been added to the list of speakers slated to appear next month at NRF 2022: Retail’s Big Show. The pair will share insights on how the company has navigated the clean lifestyle movement to emerge as a successful personal care, beauty, baby and household brand.
Alba and Vlahos join a lineup of retail industry leaders scheduled to appear at the conference, including Best Buy Inc. CEO Corie Barry, Target Corp. chairman and CEO Brian Cornell, Albertsons Cos. CEO Vivek Sankaran, and Walmart U.S. president and CEO John Furner.
Following 2021’s virtual event, the 112th annual convention will be back in New York City at the newly expanded Javits Center January 16-18. Earlier this week, NRF announced it was it is on track to welcome more than 25,000 attendees to the event.
Health and safety protocols for the event will include proof of vaccination and indoor mask-wearing. In addition, NRF will provide attendees and exhibitors of the annual NRF Big Show with COVID-19 rapid self-tests, as well as access to PCR tests on-site at the Javits Center. Testing kits will be available at both remote registration sites and at the convention center, and PCR tests will be available on-site at the Javits Center during the show.
“Like all of our attendees, we are closely monitoring the external health environment,” NRF president and CEO Matthew Shay said. “That’s why we are making additional investments to enhance our existing health protocols, which require vaccination and mask-wearing for all attendees. We are encouraged by conversations with our partners in the state of New York and New York City who support our efforts, and together we are committed to making this a safe and successful event. We are also excited to welcome nearly 900 exhibitors as well as hundreds of retailers and thousands of attendees representing brands large and small, from startups to icons. And we will continue to work with local, state and federal health officials to ensure we meet and exceed safety guidelines and mandates.”
Cornell, this year’s recipient of the NRF Foundation’s Visionary award, will speak with NRF’s Shay about how Target is leveraging its size, scale and resources to drive continued growth and while also addressing societal and sustainability needs. That conversation is scheduled for 8:45 am on Sunday, January 16.
Walmart’s Furner is slated to speak with Shay at 9:15 am on Monday, January 17, on the topic of “retail leadership in action.”
Vivek Sankaran is scheduled to speak with CNBC “Closing Bell” Co-Anchor Sara Eisen at 4 p.m. on Monday, January 17, about “earning customer loyalty.”
