Ron Otto, president of National Sales Solutions (NSS), and Angie Echele, president of Retail Smarter, are slated to speak at two conferences hosted by ECRM in Cannes, France, starting this weekend.
The retail and consumer packaged goods (CPG) sales and marketing firms said Tuesday that Otto and Echele will present "An Insider’s Guide to a Successful U.S. Launch" on Feb. 16 at the European Beauty and Personal Care conference. They will deliver the presentation again on Feb. 18 at the European Health Care, Vitamin, Diet & Nutrition conference.
Otto and Echele will discuss the U.S. market opportunity, entry methods, cultural differences and the go-to-market process. Both conferences will be held at the Intercontinental Carlton Cannes in Cannes, France.
Manufacturers, distributors and retailers from across the globe are expected to attend the conferences, which cover a broad range of product categories. The Beauty and Personal Care event addresses items within the cosmetics, skin care, sun care, toiletries, bath, hair care, fragrance and personal care segments. The Health Care, Vitamin, Diet and Nutrition event encompasses over-the-counter health products, first aid, wound care, foot care, eye care, ear care, home health care, and cosmeceutical and dermo-cosmetics, as well as vitamins and dietary supplements. Manufacturers will present new products and programs to retailers and distributors.
Both veterans of global CPG companies, Otto and Echele now focus on helping small- and midsize brands. Through a strategic alliance, Otto’s National Sales Solutions (NSS) handles sales management, and Echele’s Retail Smarter specializes in marketing and supply chain. In recent years, they have helped several brands launch in the United States.
"I am honored that ECRM has asked me to speak at this event. I hope we can inspire a few great companies to share their products with American consumers," Otto stated.
Recent economic growth and the highest consumer confidence level in six years make the United States an attractive growth prospect, according to Echele. "American retailers and shoppers want innovative products to help them be healthy, look better and feel better," she commented.
