PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. — Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL) recently opened its newest store at 260 Schuylkill Road in Phoenixville, marking the discount retailer’s 14th location in Pennsylvania and its first in Chester County.
The 29,525-square-foot store, which occupies a former Big Lots location, reflects OSJL’s continued strategy of revitalizing vacant retail properties throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
“We’re excited to open our doors to the Phoenixville and East Pikeland Township communities,” said Andrew Koons, store team leader in Phoenixville. “Our team has worked hard to prepare this store, and we look forward to bringing customers great value, variety and friendly service while becoming an active part of the community.”
Company executives and store associates were joined by local officials, including State Rep. Paul Friel, for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening.
As part of the event, the Ocean State Job Lot Charitable Foundation donated a pallet of food to Phoenixville Area Community Services, reinforcing the retailer’s commitment to supporting the communities it serves.
The grand opening festivities featured free coffee and donuts, glitter tattoos, photos with Woody from Toy Story, and gift cards ranging from $10 to $100 for the first 100 customers.
To mark the opening, shoppers who enrolled in the Job Lot Insider program and spend $30 or more through Sept. 23 will receive 40% back in a Crazy Deal Gift Card for a future purchase. Members also have access to more than 1,000 online items that qualify for 100% back in Crazy Deal Gift Cards.
