PROVIDENCE, R.I. — United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) has appointed Pamela Ofri as chief brands officer, bringing one of the most respected leaders in the private label industry to oversee the company’s expanding Brands+ portfolio.
Ofri announced the move on LinkedIn, writing, “Excited to share that I’ve joined United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) as Chief Brands Officer. Looking forward to leading the amazing Brands+ team as we continue building meaningful connections between brands, retailers and customers.”
She joins UNFI after over six years at Wakefern Food Corp., where she most recently served as director of Own Brands, managing a $2.9 billion portfolio and leading category management and product development initiatives. During her time with the Keasbey, N.J.-based cooperative, she also held roles as director of Product Development and Operations, Own Brands, and Own Brand Operations and Sourcing Manager.
Before joining Wakefern, Ofri held positions at Johnson & Johnson, Affinity Solutions, and Geneva Worldwide.
In 2024, Ofri was inducted into the Private Label Hall of Fame in the Private Brand Champion category, recognized for redefining industry standards and elevating the perception of private-label products.
