PURCHASE, N.Y. – PepsiCo Foods is entering the meat snack category with Good Warrior Beef Sticks.
The new entry comes in two flavors: Original and Jalapeño Pepper, both made with grass-fed and finished beef, which means the cow’s diet did not contain grains or other feed.
Each stick has 10 grams of protein, no sugar, and 100 calories per serving. Plus, the new sticks are made without artificial colors or flavors.
The new launch is on the heels of other PepsiCo Foods' protein-packed releases, such as Doritos Protein and Quaker Protein Granola Bars.
"We created Good Warrior because people deserve protein snacks that don’t feel like a compromise," said Tina Mahal, Marketing Senior Vice President, PepsiCo Foods U.S. ”Our goal was simple: make protein snacks people want to eat for busy humans who need something fast. Good Warrior brings bold flavor, functionality of protein, and the convenience today’s consumers expect. We’re starting with two delicious beef stick flavors and are bringing even more tasty options in other categories later this year."
PepsiCo Foods says the convenient snack is perfect for "powering through back-to-back meetings" or for when you need a snack "between school carpool pickups and work deadlines."
