NEW YORK — The Private Label Manufacturers Association will again feature a dedicated Wine & Spirits section at its 2026 Store Brand Marketplace, Nov. 15-17 in Chicago, as retailers increase their investment in private-label adult beverages.

The section will provide retail buyers with access to private-label sourcing opportunities across wine, spirits, beer, cider, ready-to-drink beverages, and emerging beverage concepts from suppliers worldwide. PLMA said the show will also highlight non- and low-alcohol products as retailers seek to broaden their beverage assortments and create more premium shopping experiences.

PLMA cited recent retailer activity as evidence of the category’s growing importance. Kroger has broadened its focus on wine through in-store wine shops featuring premium assortments and tasting experiences. Its own-brand wine portfolio includes Acronym, Parker’s Estate, Simple Truth and Private Selection.

Meanwhile, ALDI continues to promote its seasonal wine collections, reflecting consumer interest in quality and value in private-label wines.

“Retailers are looking beyond traditional assortments to create unique beverage destinations that build shopper loyalty and product and store differentiation,” said Dan Weil, PLMA’s senior director, Chicago Trade Show. “We’re offering a designated wine and spirits section where buyers can connect with exhibitors from around the world to build out their own portfolios.”

PLMA’s newly rebranded World of Ideas will also feature the International Salute to Excellence Wine Awards, which will highlight three dozen winners from seven European countries and the United States.

According to PLMA, judging for the awards highlighted several trends shaping the category, including continued improvements in product quality, growing interest in low- and no-alcohol wines, and greater retailer investment in wine as a strategic category rather than simply a value alternative.

The 2026 Store Brands Marketplace is expected to bring together thousands of exhibitors from 60 countries showcasing products across food, beverages, health and beauty, household products and general merchandise.

Registration is open for retailers, wholesalers and other buyers attending the event.
