INDEPENDENCE, Ky. — Publix continues to expand its footprint in Northern Kentucky with the opening of a new supermarket in Independence, marking another step in the grocer's growth across the region. The new store, located at 5135 Jenkins Drive, opened Wednesday and spans 48,397 square feet.
The opening reflects the retailer's continued investment in Kentucky as it works to serve a growing customer base in the area.

“We're excited to open another location in Northern Kentucky,” said Jared Glover, media relations manager for Publix. “The warm welcome we've received from our new customers has been incredible, and we look forward to returning that hospitality with the exceptional service and quality products Publix is known for.”
The new store offers Publix's traditional lineup of departments, including a full-service deli, fresh produce, bakery, meat and seafood departments, and a full-service pharmacy. Shoppers will find a selection of prepared foods, artisan cheeses, organic and locally grown produce, freshly baked goods, custom-cut meats, and seafood delivered throughout the week.
In addition to its grocery offerings, the location includes a Publix Liquors store adjacent to the supermarket, Publix Delivery powered by Instacart, and a pharmacy drive-thru for prescription pickup.
The Independence store is expected to serve residents throughout Northern Kentucky while bringing Publix's mix of fresh food, pharmacy services and convenience-focused amenities to the market.
