MORROW, Ga. — QuikTrip has hit a significant growth milestone with the opening of its 1,200th store, located at 6459 Jonesboro Rd. in Morrow, just north of Interstate 75. The new location is the company’s 181st in Georgia, highlighting metro Atlanta’s importance to the Tulsa, Oklahoma-based convenience retailer.

Founded in 1958, QuikTrip entered the Georgia market in 1986 and has steadily expanded its presence across the state. Additional stores are currently under construction in Acworth, Union City, and Watkinsville. Nationally, the retailer plans to open more than 80 new stores in 2026 as part of a disciplined growth strategy focused on operational consistency, employee retention, and strong customer demand.
“The Atlanta metro area and the state of Georgia have been incredibly important to QuikTrip for nearly 40 years,” said Robert Smith, Atlanta Director of Operations at QuikTrip. “Reaching our 1,200th store is a milestone that reflects the strength of our business model — one built on taking care of employees, earning customer trust and showing up consistently for the communities we serve.”

The Morrow location features QT Kitchens, offering made-to-order foods alongside grab-and-go options, as well as QuikTrip’s coffee program with 12 varieties, including hot and iced lattes made with real milk and freshly ground beans.
ach the new store creates approximately 24 local jobs, offering benefits such as tuition reimbursement, medical coverage, and 401(k) plans. The company donates 5% of its annual net profits to charitable organizations and recently invested $3 million in the Atlanta Police Foundation to support At-Promise Centers focused on youth development.
With 1,200 stores across 21 states and over 32,000 employees, QuikTrip continues expanding its national presence while prioritizing community involvement and workforce growth.
