to spread holiday cheer – and not the flu — Rite Aid said it will offer “Flu Shot Fridays” at select locations in the coming weeks, providing a convenient opportunity for families to walk in or schedule appointments for the vaccinations they need to help protect themselves against the flu, COVID-19, RSV and other viruses.

Customers receiving their flu shot will also receive coupons for $5 off a $25 in-store purchase* and a free cold drink.** Flu Shot Fridays will be held every Friday from Dec. 1-29, at select locations. Coupons are not valid in New York or New Jersey.

“Our customers are getting proactive about their health as colder weather arrives and families are gathering for the holidays,” said Karen Staniforth, Chief Pharmacy Officer at Rite Aid. “We’re proud to be a resource in the community to help our customers and their families achieve their whole health needs.”

Rite Aid pharmacists are trained to immunize adults and children three years of age and older. Immunizations for Flu Shot Fridays include routine vaccinations that provide critical protection against certain diseases, some of which are required for certain ages, activities or for overseas travel. These include shingles, tetanus, whooping cough, and HPV (human papilloma virus), among others, depending on age and state regulations, in addition to the available flu and COVID-19 (2023-2024) vaccines.
