CAMP HILL, Pa. — Rite Aid Corp., later this month, plans to hold a grand reopening of a completed remodeled store in Beverly Hills, Calif., with a new iteration of its wellness store format.
Rite Aid Corp., later this month, plans to hold a grand reopening of a completed remodeled store in Beverly Hills, Calif., with a new iteration of its wellness store format.
Rite Aid said Thursday that the project for the store, at 300 North Canon Drive in Beverly Hills, included a full remodel, expansion of the pharmacy and redesigns of several key departments, including beauty and over-the-counter medicines.
In addition, the store features a Fresh Day Café and patio area, where customers can get Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf beverages, fresh baked goods, sandwiches and Rite Aid’s Thrifty brand ice cream.
On June 23, Rite Aid executives will hold a press conference and ribbon-cutting ceremony at the store to mark its grand re-opening.
Also as part of the store’s reopening, the company plans to host 21 days of free special events. To be held each day from June 15 to July 5, events will include free health screenings, product demonstrations, sampling and refreshments.
There will also be appearances by Julie G., beauty blogger and founder of the Julie G. nail enamel line; Eddie Funkhouser, celebrity makeup artist and expert product developer; Galit Strugano Wigdor, beauty expert and founder of Girlactik Beauty; Gabriel Almodovar, celebrity makeup artist for Maybelline New York; Sam and Nic Chapman, YouTube beauty gurus and the experts behind Real Techniques makeup brushes; and fitness expert Denise Austin, whose fitness product line is sold at Rite Aid stores.
Health screenings will address cholesterol, allergy, blood glucose, bone density and facial skin. Brands and companies participating in samplings, demonstrations and/or other events will include Post, Lean Cuisine, Haagen Dazs, Unilever, CoverGirl, Procter & Gamble, JR Watkins, CeraVe, Conair, Pop Nail Polish, Maybelline, Sally Hansen, Coty, Vichy, La Roche, Revlon, wet n wild, Rimmel, NYC Cosmetics, Senna Cosmetics, Burt’s Bees and L’Oreal.

Rite Aid obtained the North Canon Drive store via its acquisition of the Thrifty PayLess drug chain in 1996.
