CARMEL, Ind. — Ritron has introduced its Mini Quick Assist Wireless Call Button, a compact version of its Quick Assist system designed to help retailers connect shoppers with employees more quickly.
The Mini Quick Assist is half the size of Ritron’s standard Quick Assist while offering the same core functionality. At the push of a button, the wireless device sends customized prerecorded messages directly to radio-equipped employees, identifying where assistance is needed.
The system is designed for retail locations where mounting space is limited, including locked merchandise cases, pickup areas, fitting rooms, service counters and departments that are not continuously staffed. It can also be used in areas with high-value merchandise or products that require employee assistance.

The battery-powered system works with existing two-way radios and does not require Wi-Fi or other IT infrastructure. Ritron said the product has no recurring subscription fees and can be configured with customized alerts for different locations within a store.
The Mini Quick Assist is also intended for convenience stores, travel centers and other retail environments, as well as manufacturing and health care applications.
Ritron said the device is made in the United States and is available in configurations supporting several U.S., Canadian and European radio standards.
