KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Russell Stover Chocolates has launched Everyday chocolates, which offer consumers classic and new confections in more convenient packaging for snacking.
Russell Stover Candies said this week that Everyday chocolates include individually wrapped versions of its venerable candies plus snack bites, sugar-free bites, barks, pretzels and minis — now in portable, resealable bags that keep the confections fresh.
What’s more, the company noted, the Everyday line marks the brand’s snack category debut and its first-ever use of resealable bags and snack-bite sizes.
Unveiled at the 2016 Sweets and Snacks Expo in Chicago, Everyday chocolates are now available in the candy aisle of leading retailers nationwide, including Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy, Rite Aid, Walmart, Kroger, Target, Publix and Ahold food, drug and mass retail stores.
“Our fans were the inspiration for the new Everyday line. They’ve been telling us that they want to enjoy our chocolates year-round, so we found a way to move them out of the box and into a bag for easy, everyday snacking and sharing,” according Marjolaine DeClaviere, vice president of marketing at Russell Stover. “Our chocolates have added joy to special occasions and holidays for decades. Now we can offer that same joy anytime, anywhere, every day.”
Everyday chocolate varieties include Everyday Barks and Pretzels (pistachio bark, crunchy caramel bark and double-dipped pretzels with sea salt), Fruit-Flavored Bites (pomegranate, orange or blueberry centers in chocolate), Sugar-Free Bites (fruit-flavored bites with no sugar and fewer calories, in cranberry, orange and blueberry flavors), Favorites (milk chocolate pecan delight, dark chocolate coconut, milk chocolate caramel and dark chocolate mint patties), and Minis (bite-size versions of Russell Stover favorites, including dairy cream caramel, pecan delight and coconut).
The Everyday Pistachio Bark variety, Russell Stover said, is one of the first confections of its kind to use pistachio nuts, bringing innovation to the dark chocolate and nut category.
