RIPON, Calif — Save Mart Cos., one of the West Coast’s largest regional full-service grocery chains, recently marked the reopening of its newly remodeled Ripon, Calif., store with a community celebration.

Located on Goodwin Drive, the updated store features a range of enhancements aimed at improving the shopping experience and meeting the needs of local customers. New offerings include a full-service butcher block and seafood counter; an expanded service deli with grab-and-go options; a refreshed bakery cake case; and an on-site sushi chef. The store also boasts a broader assortment of fresh produce — including prepared items such as fruit parfaits, guacamole and salsa — as well as an expanded wine and spirits selection and newly added self-checkout stations.

“Our customers in Ripon have made this store an important part of the community, and we’re proud to introduce these upgrades and expanded services,” said Bobby McDowell, vice president of store operations at Save Mart. “We’re excited to celebrate with our neighbors and continue serving the community for years to come.”
The celebration included remarks from Save Mart team members and donations to local schools and community partners. Festivities also featured a Heroes Bagging Showdown, with Second Harvest of the Greater Valley; San Joaquin County Family Justice Center Foundation; and The Healthy Room Project competing in a friendly bagging contest. Each organization kept the items bagged to support its mission and received gift cards to further aid its efforts.
The celebration also offered a vendor sampling event and gift card giveaway. The event included appearances by Save Mart’s oversized shopping cart mascot, Big Red.
