Sprouts Farmers Market coming to Somerset Shopping Center in N.J.

New 28,750-square-foot lease marks a major milestone for the Bridgewater property, bringing a sought-after grocery anchor to the center

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Sprouts Farmers Market has signed a lease for a 28,750-square-foot store at Somerset Shopping Center in Bridgewater, adding a new grocery anchor to the 219,000-square-foot community retail destination. The lease represents a significant enhancement to the center, which is located along Route 202/206 near the Somerville Circle in Somerset County. Levin Management Corp. serves as the leasing and managing agent for the property.

Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, Sprouts Farmers Market operates more than 480 stores across 25 states and employs over 36,000 team members. The specialty grocer currently has five locations in New Jersey and was by named the editors of Mass Market Retailers and Chain Drug Review  as their Specialty Grocer of the Year. Sprouts is known for its produce-forward store design and its wide selection of fresh, natural, and organic foods, along with plant-based, gluten-free, and other lifestyle-oriented products.

The addition of Sprouts Farmers Market is a major milestone for Somerset Shopping Center, further strengthening the center’s merchandising mix and long-term positioning in one of Central New Jersey’s most desirable trade areas. Sprouts Farmers Market will join Barnes & Noble as an anchor at the property, adding a high-demand grocery component expected to drive frequent visits and broaden the center’s consumer appeal.

LMC leasing representatives Vanessa Kelty and Ed Vasconcellos represented the landlord in the lease transaction. Mike Horn and Steven Winters of RIPCO Real Estate represented Sprouts Farmers Market.

The Sprouts lease follows a series of recent additions and openings that underscore the center’s growing momentum. D1 Training has been announced and is coming soon. Other recent additions include Boot Barn, Fred Astaire Dance Studio, Strand Salon Studios and Style Brow Bar, all of which opened in 2025.

The property serves an affluent and densely populated trade area, with approximately 126,000 residents within a five-mile radius and average household incomes exceeding $178,000. The property’s mix of retailers, restaurants and service providers also includes Gap Factory, Fortunoff Backyard Store, Liquor Cave, Norman’s Hallmark, Men’s Wearhouse, Pearle Vision, Optimum and Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, among others.

Leasing opportunities currently being marketed at the center include spaces of 6,000 square feet, 22,183 square feet and 16,947 square feet on the lower level with rear parking.
