SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — Stater Bros. Markets has promoted Mike Reed to the position of senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Reed succeeds Dave Harris, who recently retired as the retailer’s executive vice president of finance, CFO and principal accounting officer.

In his new role as senior VP and CFO, Reed will report to chief executive officer and chairman Pete Van Helden and be responsible for the financial accountability of the company. Additionally, Reed will continue overseeing the company’s real estate development and will serve on the executive leadership team. The promotion is effective immediately.

“It has been a pleasure working with Mike over the last several years as he has overseen the opening of several new stores and the remodeling of numerous existing locations,” said Van Helden. “With Mike overseeing the company’s finances, Stater Bros. will be well-positioned for success well into the future.”
