Wholesale grocery distributor Supervalu Inc. is consolidating its trade shows into a single exposition, set for next summer in St. Paul, Minn.

Dubbed Sales 4 All Seasons, Supervalu’s first national expo will be held August 12 to August 14 and supplants the three regional events the company sponsored in previous years. Independent grocery retailers, industry experts and suppliers are expected to attend.

"Our retailers will gain new insights into creative solutions and products that will help them continue to be successful local grocers," said Janel Haugarth, Supervalu’s president of independent business. The event offers retailers the opportunity to network and learn about industry trends, new products and promotional opportunities, Haugarth said.

Supervalu has changed greatly in the past year after selling its five largest grocery chains, including Albertsons and Jewel-Osco, to concentrate on its wholesale business and its national Save-A-Lot chain.
