Tanya Moore

Tanya Moore leads a portfolio of five specialized business units that play a central role in the health care strategy of Shoppers Drug Mart, Canada’s leading retail pharmacy chain with more than 1,300 licensed drug stores and 250 Pharmacy Care Clinics. 

With more than 20 years of progressive leadership experience in the health care sector, Moore brings deep expertise across procurement, distribution, retail operations, insurance, pricing and enterprise strategy. She has held senior roles across Shoppers Drug Mart, developing a comprehensive understanding of the pharmacy supply chain and the operational levers that drive national-scale health service delivery.

Moore says she’s most excited about the opportunity for pharmacists to continue to take on an expanded role in health care in Canada, partnering with nurse practitioners and physicians to add capacity to provide care further upstream to achieve better health outcomes. Moore is proud to be part of all the significant investments Shoppers Drug Mart is making to support its pharmacy teams and Canadians through this critical inflection point in health care in Canada. 

As a recognized health care operator and strategic leader, Moore is known for her ability to translate system-level challenges into scalable, patient-focused solutions. Additionally, she is a former member of the GS1 Healthcare Pharmacy Board and currently serves on the board of the Canadian Association for Pharmacy Distribution Management, an industry organization that represents companies involved in pharmaceutical logistics and distribution.
