Target and Levi’s partnership grows to one thousand stores

Levi’s stands as one of Target’s longest-running national brand partnerships.

MINNEAPOLIS — Finding the right pair of jeans at Target is about to get easier. Target and Levi’s are expanding their long-standing partnership, bringing Levi’s denim to 150 additional Target stores by the end of the year. The move will bring the brand’s footprint to more than 1,000 locations nationwide.

A partnership rooted in retail history

Target first began carrying Levi’s in 1976, becoming one of the earliest retailers to bring the iconic denim brand to a wider national audience. After reintroducing Levi’s to stores in 2011, the partnership has steadily grown from core value styles to a wider selection of Levi’s Red Tab denim and lifestyle apparel.

Today, Levi’s stands as one of Target’s longest-running national brand partnerships.

“Guests turn to Target to find the styles, brands, and value they love, which is why our partnership with Levi’s is so important,” said Gena Fox, senior vice president, apparel and accessories at Target. “Through our partnership, we’re growing Target’s denim business by delivering exactly what our guests want: on-trend style, exceptional quality, and unmatched value.”

Denim growth drives expansion

The expanded distribution occurs amid strong momentum for denim within Target’s apparel sector. The retailer reported sales growth and market share increases in denim during 2025, reinforcing its position as a go-to destination for accessible, trend-forward styles.

Building on that performance, Target will increase its Levi’s women’s collection by nearly 20 percent year over year in spring 2026. The updated lineup will feature relaxed and looser leg styles, new washes, and expanded lifestyle options like tops and overalls for complete outfits. Most styles will be priced under $60.

Heidi Manes, senior vice president and managing director of Levi’s U.S. and Canada, said the brand’s shift into a full lifestyle assortment is resonating with Target shoppers.

“Our expansion with Target reflects the momentum behind our lifestyle assortment, the strength of our partnership and our commitment to reaching Levi’s fans wherever they choose to shop,” Manes said.

With distribution expanding and assortments deepening, the two companies are leaning into continued consumer demand for premium denim at accessible price points, highlighting both the strength of the category and their partnership.
