MINNEAPOLIS — Add Target to the list of retailers looking to attract early holiday shoppers with sales events in early October.

Target Circle Week, an exclusive event for members of the retailer’s free-to-join loyalty program, will be held from October 6 through 12. The company said it will offer deals on thousands of items, from fall essentials to early holiday gifts, adding that members can snag deals of up to 50% off on everything from Halloween costumes to kitchen must-haves.

“Our October Target Circle Week is our biggest sale of the fall and gives our members the best of Target," said Cara Sylvester, Target’s executive vice president and chief guest experience officer. "With seven days of deals on thousands of items, there's no better time to become a member than during Target Circle Week."

For shoppers looking to stock up on household essentials or start their holiday shopping early, Target Circle Week has something for everyone. The deals include $10 gift cards for spending $40 on beauty or health items, 30% off sweatshirts and sweaters, and buy-one-get-one-50%-off on Halloween costumes and candy.

In addition to the discounts, Target is also bringing back its popular Deal of the Day, offering new one-day-only bargains daily. Shoppers can also take advantage of Target Circle 360, a paid membership tier that provides perks like free two-day shipping and unlimited same-day delivery with no delivery fees. Those who enroll in Target Circle 360 during the weeklong event will get $50 off their next same-day delivery order of $50 or more.

Target Circle Week joins Walmart's Holiday Deals event (Oct. 8-13) and Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days (Oct. 8-9) in offering loyal customers deals to kick off the holiday shopping season.
