Target expands Black Friday into a weeklong event with deep discounts, exclusive launches and in-store giveaways

“Our guests are starting their holiday shopping earlier than ever, so we’re turning Black Friday into a multi-day celebration made just for them.”

MINNEAPOLIS — Target Corp. is reimagining Black Friday as a weeklong, in-store and online shopping experience. The retailer is rolling out steep discounts, exclusive product drops and surprise giveaways in a bid to capture early holiday shoppers and drive traffic across its nearly 2,000 stores.

The retailer said Thursday that its Black Friday deals will run from Sunday, November 23, through Saturday, November 29. Target said it is offering savings of up to 50% across top gifting categories, including electronics, toys, apparel, small appliances, and home décor. Target stores will open at 6 a.m. local time on Friday, Nov. 28, when the company expects some of its highest in-person traffic of the season.

“Our guests are starting their holiday shopping earlier than ever, so we’re turning Black Friday into a multi-day celebration made just for them,” said Rick Gomez, executive vice president and chief commercial officer. “From incredible daily deals on the most-wanted gifts to in-store-only surprises, every moment of Black Friday at Target is designed to make it easier — and more joyful — for our guests to create lasting holiday memories.”
