MINNEAPOLIS — Target Corp. said today that it is reducing the price of its popular Thanksgiving meal offering for 2024 to make hosting a family dinner more more affordable for customers. Priced at just $20 — $5 less than last year's offering — this year’s Thanksgiving meal serves four. The move is part of Target’s broader effort to provide shoppers with budget-friendly holiday options. It features discounts on key items like turkey, side dishes, desserts, and even a special offer for frozen pizza through its Target Circle 360 program.
"From lowering the price of our Thanksgiving dinner menu to offering a variety of hosting and gifting options, we’re delivering the kind of exceptional quality and value that sets Target apart,” said Rick Gomez, Target's executive vice president and chief commercial officer.
Target’s $20 Thanksgiving meal includes:
- Good & Gather Premium Basted Young Turkey (up to 10 lbs.)
- Good & Gather Russet Potatoes (5 lbs.)
- Del Monte Cut Green Beans (14.5 oz.)
- Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom Soup (10.5 oz.)
- Ocean Spray Jellied Cranberry Sauce (14 oz.)
- Stove Top Turkey Stuffing Mix (6 oz.)
- Heinz Home Style Roasted Turkey Gravy (12 oz.)
In addition to the meal bundle, Target is offering turkey for just 79 cents per pound—20% lower than last year’s price.
The retailer is also offering a wide array of budget-conscious holiday food items. Shoppers can find side dishes like Good & Gather Cheddar Mac and Cranberry Goat Cheese, as well as apple and pumpkin pies from the Favorite Day brand, all for under $5. Hosting gifts, including Good & Gather’s charcuterie entertaining tray priced at $11.99, and an expanded selection of wines, promise to make it easy for customers to prepare for holiday gatherings without breaking the bank, the retailer said.
Target is also offering it Target 360 members a free frozen pizza from Nov. 13 to Nov. 16, just in time for Thanksgiving prep. “Thanksgiving eve is one of the most popular pizza days of the year,” Gomez said, noting that this offer is a special perk for Target’s loyal membership base.
Target is introducing nearly 700 new food, beverage, and entertaining items for the holiday season, with a focus on making celebrations simple and stylish. These include new exclusive home decor and dinnerware from the John Derian for Target collection, as well as gourmet food and drink gifts from Marks & Spencer, such as their Gingerbread Tin and Salted Caramel Pinecones, all priced under $20.
Customers can also find holiday-themed activity kits, hot cocoa sets, and stocking stuffers starting at just $2, making Target a one-stop shop for everything from entertaining to gifting.
