MINNEAPOLIS — Target Corp. has hired Kristi Argyilan as senior vice president of media and guest engagement, effective June 2.

"As Target continues to accelerate our efforts to innovate and evolve, her expertise in leveraging today’s dynamic media mix will help us connect with Target’s guests in new and different ways."
Argyilan comes to Target from IPG Mediabrands, where she served as president of the New York-based company’s Magna Global North America media unit.
Previously, she held senior positions with advertising and integrated marketing agencies Arnold and Hill Holiday, and Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, a unit of Omnicom Group Inc.
"Across our industry, leaders are working to modernize how they connect paid, owned, earned and shared media, and I believe Target has a tremendous opportunity to lead in this evolving space," Argyilan says. Target operates 1,924 stores (1,797 in the United States and 127 in Canada) and sells merchandise online via Target.com.
