MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Target Corp. is opening seven new stores this fall, extending its reach in communities across Arizona, California, Florida, Nebraska, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia. Six of the new locations exceed the retailer’s 125,000-square-foot chain average, underscoring Target’s push toward larger formats as part of its long-term growth strategy.
The openings are part of Target’s broader plan to add more than 300 stores nationwide over the next decade. With nearly 2,000 stores already in operation, the retailer continues to lean on its “stores-as-hubs” model, fulfilling 95% of its digital orders through local stores while offering same-day services like Drive Up, Order Pickup and Target Circle 360 delivery, which now reaches 80% of the U.S. population.
“I’m so grateful for the experiences I’ve had as a member of the Target stores team — they’ve shaped me, both as a leader and as a person,” said Chief Stores Officer Adrienne Costanzo, who started her Target career 20 years ago at a store in Evansville, Indiana. “There’s an energy and camaraderie in our stores that’s hard to describe — and one that I’ll never take for granted — with teams who support and champion each other to do our best every day. In addition to offering national and owned brands, as well as shop-in-shop experiences with Apple, CVS Pharmacy, Disney, Starbucks and Target Optical, many of the new stores feature expanded fresh food sections of up to 16,000 square feet.

Arizona: Queen Creek Gantzel and Combs

Noteworthy: Stafford Kirkwood Road is the second Target store to open this year in Texas, where the company now has 159 locations.
Together, the new locations will employ more than 1,000 team members, with starting wages between $15 and $24 per hour depending on role and location. The company continues to invest in employee growth, including tuition-free education assistance.
Last year, Target contributed more than 274,000 hours of community service and over $119 million in product and cash donations across the states where the new stores are opening.
