The United Family opens new Albertsons Market location

LOVINGTON, N.M. — The United Family has opened a new Albertsons Market store in Lovington, marking its first location in the southeastern New Mexico community and expanding its presence in the state.

The nearly 50,000-square-foot supermarket was opened during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 5, attended by media and community members. The store opened to the public on March 6 at 6 a.m.

The location showcases the latest evolution of the Albertsons Market banner and introduces a variety of services and departments offered by the company across New Mexico to shoppers in Lovington for the first time.

“We are excited and proud to open this new location in the Lovington community,” said Sidney Hopper, president of The United Family. “It is beautiful, spacious, and full of some of the best Albertsons Market has to offer. It is also especially meaningful to our company to expand our footprint in a community that has shown us so much love and hospitality.”

The new store features a full-service pharmacy with a drive-thru, a large assortment of ReadyMeals, and an extensive beer, wine and spirits department. Other highlights include a full-service meat counter with beef selections and fresh seafood, a bakery offering custom creations, and a floral department capable of preparing custom arrangements with delivery services.

“From the drive-thru pharmacy services to the floral department’s custom arrangements, this Albertsons Market location will bring value, quality, and great service to our guests in Lovington,” Hopper said.

Store director Markus Stephens said the new location will emphasize the company’s longstanding focus on customer service.

“I have been serving guests across New Mexico and Texas for a long time and am excited to extend our exceptional service to Lovington,” Stephens said. “This store has a lot of amazing things to offer, but great service will remain at the core of what we do.”
