Tore Swenson joins Mascot Inc.

Glennville, Ga. – Mascot Inc. has hired Tore Swenson, based in Chaska, Minn., as their Vice President of Sales. Swenson has over 20 years of experience in the specialty food industry and will help lead the company in private label and branded opportunities across grocery, specialty, convenience store, and vending markets. She recently joined from Hammond’s Candies, where she served as Senior Vice President of Sales. During her time at Hammond’s, she contributed to the growth and sale of the company to a private equity fund.

“I’m very excited about working for Mascot – they were a business partner of Hammond’s as a manufacturer of our nut candies and peanut brittle,” says Swenson.  “I was amazed to learn of all their capabilities, including chocolate enrobing, chocolate bars and chocolate molds.  They also create interesting panned nuts, including my favorite, Habanero Pineapple Cashews.”

The President and CEO of Mascot, Kenny Tarver, has decided to add Swenson to the team to help build the company and its brand.  “We have been looking for the right person to fill this role, and when the opportunity to hire Swenson arose, it was an easy decision. She is very familiar with the industry and has previous experience with our products.”
