It’s a tropical flavor redux for Sprite

ATLANTA — Coca-Cola Co.’s Sprite brand has brought back a tropical flavor from more than a decade ago with a new name, Sprite Tropical Mix, and a new look.

Sprite-Tropical-MixSprite Tropical Mix combines the Sprite lemon-lime taste with strawberry and pineapple flavors. The flavor combination is available for a limited time in a retro-inspired orange-on-white package design.

“Fans have thirsted for the return of this popular Sprite tropical flavor for years, and it’s great to finally bring it back to reward their enthusiasm. I can’t think of a better way to let them know that we’re listening,” said Kimberly Paige, vice president of Sparkling Brands, Sprite and Flavors, Coca-Cola North America. “The blend of lemon-lime, strawberry and pineapple flavors gives the delicious taste of Sprite a fresh twist for summer, and for fans unfamiliar with the tropical mix it’s a refreshing way to quench their thirst for something new.”

Coca-Cola noted that Sprite Tropical Mix joins a number of other product variations that Sprite has introduced in recent years. Other popular limited-edition Sprite flavors include the holiday favorite Sprite Cranberry, first introduced in 2013, and Sprite LeBron’s Mix, which was available in 2014 and 2015.
