Uber deepens regional grocery footprint with three new retailers

New partnerships highlight Uber’s growing investment in beloved local and regional retailers.

SAN FRANCISCO — Uber is expanding its U.S. marketplace by adding three beloved regional retailers, bringing Stater Bros. Markets, Kowalski’s Markets, and Big Red Liquors to the Uber and Uber Eats apps. The move boosts Uber’s rapidly growing grocery and alcohol delivery services and enhances its commitment to local and specialty retailers.

Shoppers in Southern California, Minnesota, and parts of the Midwest can now order groceries and alcohol on-demand from these retailers, bringing fresh regional variety to Uber’s curated marketplace. The move continues a year of significant growth for Uber Eats, which has added over 1,000 new retailers worldwide and more than 50,000 U.S. retail locations in 2025.

Uber said the new partnerships reflect the company’s commitment to making everyday shopping effortless and locally grounded. “Our goal is to make it effortless for customers to get everything they need from the stores they already love,” said Hashim Amin, Head of Grocery and Retail for North America at Uber. “As we close out 2025, we’re especially proud of the progress we’ve made in growing our selection of regional grocery and alcohol partners, because these are the brands that truly define their communities.”

Stater Bros., a Southern California staple for nearly 90 years, maintains its reputation for high-quality meats, produce, and value-driven groceries. Kowalski’s Markets offers a premium mix of gourmet, organic, local, and scratch-made foods in the Twin Cities. Indiana-based Big Red Liquors expands Uber’s alcohol selection with a wide range of local wines, craft beers, and specialty spirits.

The updates emphasize Uber’s focus on helping consumers meet various holiday and daily needs, from restocking pantries to sourcing drinks for seasonal gatherings. Uber One members still enjoy $0 delivery fees on eligible grocery and retail orders.
