MELVILLE, N.Y. — Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace plans to open two new stores in late 2027, including its first location in Pennsylvania and an additional marketplace in New Jersey.
The specialty grocer announced that new stores will open at:
- DeKalb Plaza, 320 W. DeKalb Pike, King of Prussia, Pa.
- East Gate Square, 1311 Nixon Drive, Moorestown, N.J.
The expansion marks Uncle Giuseppe's entry into Pennsylvania while strengthening its footprint in New Jersey and the broader Northeast.
"King of Prussia and Moorestown are two markets we've been looking at for some time," said Carl DelPrete, CEO and co-founder of Uncle Giuseppe's Marketplace. "As we grow, we're selective about where we go. We look for communities where our commitment to fresh, quality food and exceptional service will resonate, and we're excited to bring the Uncle Giuseppe's experience to both locations."
The King of Prussia store will be the company's first marketplace in Pennsylvania, extending its reach beyond its established presence in New York and New Jersey.
"Pennsylvania has been part of our growth plans for a while, and King of Prussia is the ideal place for us to begin," DelPrete said. "It's a strong market and gives us the opportunity to introduce Uncle Giuseppe's to new customers while delivering the quality, freshness and service that define our brand."
The Moorestown location will expand the company's presence in New Jersey and serve customers throughout South Jersey and the greater Philadelphia region.
"New Jersey has been very good to us, and we continue to see opportunities for growth there," DelPrete said. "Moorestown allows us to reach new customers while building on the loyalty we've developed throughout the state."
Both stores are expected to feature the signature offerings that have made Uncle Giuseppe's a destination for shoppers, including:
- Fresh mozzarella made in-store
- House-made pasta
- Full-service meat and seafood departments
- Traditional Italian deli
- Scratch bakery
- Prepared foods
- Fresh produce
- Specialty cheeses
- Imported Italian products
- Catering services
- Full grocery assortments
A hallmark of the Uncle Giuseppe's experience is food preparation conducted in full view of customers, including mozzarella making, pasta production, baking and custom-cut meats.
The new locations continue a period of steady growth for the family-owned grocer. The company opened a new marketplace in Greenvale, N.Y., at Wheatley Plaza in August 2026 and plans to open a location in Levittown, N.Y., later this year.
"We've always believed in growing the right way," DelPrete said. "It's not about opening stores as quickly as possible. Every location has to be the right fit, and we have to be confident we can deliver the same quality and experience customers expect from Uncle Giuseppe's."
