OXFORD, MD — VIC Cotton Company has announced a charitable donation to the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center through the Ida Impact Fund, established in loving memory of Ida Peterson Hardon, who passed away in May 2024 following a courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
The donation recognizes the extraordinary physicians, nurses, researchers, and caregivers at Johns Hopkins whose compassion, brilliance, and dedication gave Ida — and her family — precious time, hope, and unforgettable moments together.

Founded from a legacy rooted in World War II-era gauze craftsmanship in Europe, VIC Cloth has grown from a small, pre-digital family business into a recognized wellness and beauty brand sold through Amazon, Shopify, specialty retailers, and spas. Today, the company continues to blend heritage craftsmanship with modern wellness innovation.
“This contribution is deeply personal,” said Ted Peterson, Ida’s Dad and Founder/CEO of VIC Cotton Company. “The team at Johns Hopkins cared for Ida with humanity and excellence. We are forever grateful for the dignity, kindness, and extraordinary care they provided throughout her journey.”
The Ida Impact Fund was created to support ongoing AML leukemia research and patient-centered initiatives while honoring Ida’s warmth, courage, and enduring spirit. VIC Cloth intends this donation to be the first of many ongoing contributions aligned with the company’s mission and growth.
Included in the accompanying tribute photograph are members of the oncology doctors and nursing teams at the Johns Hopkins Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center who cared for Ida and countless other patients with compassion and dedication every day.
