CHICAGO — Walgreen Co. has opened a new flagship store in the historic Noel State Bank Building at North and Damen Avenues in the Bucktown/Wicker Park area of Chicago. It is the chain’s second flagship location, joining the Walgreens at State Street and Randolph.

Walgreens worked with the Commission on Chicago Landmarks to restore the neo-classic structure, which now houses such special features as an enhanced, state-of-the-art pharmacy; Upmarket Café; Vitamin Vault; and a selection of more than 700 fine wines. The store includes Walgreens’ signature LOOK Boutique beauty department.
"It was thrilling to restore this architectural gem once again into a thriving business anchor," said Joe Magnacca, president of daily living products and solutions at Walgreens. "This flagship store will provide customers with a unique shopping experience within an iconic building."
