BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Walmart is pulling out all the stops for the 2024 holiday shopping season, promising an unmatched Black Friday and Cyber Monday experience that blends incredible deals with cutting-edge technology. Shoppers can expect deep discounts on the hottest holiday gifts, surprise deal drops, and a brand-new generative AI shopping assistant to make the process easier and more personalized.
With deals on must-have items like Apple, Samsung, LEGO, Dyson, and Xbox, Walmart intends to remain the top destination for holiday bargains.
“Walmart’s ‘Black Friday Deals’ events are a one-stop shop for incredible savings on a wide assortment of the most-wanted items,” said Latriece Watkins, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer for Walmart U.S.
Walmart’s Black Friday season will unfold over three major events:
- Event One: Starts online Monday, November 11, with exclusive early access for Walmart+ members at 12 p.m. ET, and for all customers at 5 p.m. ET. In-store deals begin on Friday, November 15, at 6 a.m. local time.
- Event Two: Online shopping kicks off on Monday, November 25, with Walmart+ members getting a five-hour head start. In-store shopping starts Friday, November 29, at 6 a.m. local time.
- Cyber Monday: Deals go live on Sunday, December 1, with Walmart+ members gaining early access at 5 p.m. ET and all shoppers at 8 p.m. ET.
This year, Walmart is introducing surprise deal drops during its Black Friday events, adding excitement to the savings hunt. These flash deals will be available exclusively online and through the Walmart app, rewarding customers who check in regularly.
Walmart is also expanding the beta test of its AI-powered shopping assistant, which offers personalized recommendations based on customer preferences. The AI assistant can compare prices, suggest gift ideas, and help shoppers quickly find the best products for their needs, the retailer says, noting that it offers a conversational experience similar to that of a real-life personal shopper.
Walmart+ members will enjoy extended early access, giving them a five-hour head start on the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals. For those who haven’t signed up, Walmart offers a limited-time deal: a one-year membership for just $49, half the regular price. This promotion runs through December 2 and includes perks like free delivery, exclusive savings on fuel and travel, and access to streaming services
