BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Walmart will start off its holiday selling season by offering free layaway with no opening fees, effective September 13 through December 13.

Eligible items include electronics, toys, jewelry, small appliances and selected sporting goods. New additions for this year are infant toys and automotive electronics, such as speakers and stereos.
